Szokoly (Eoetvoes Univ., Budapest) report on behalf of the GROND team:\n\nGROND (Greiner et al. 2008, PASP 120, 405), mounted at the 2.2m\nESO/MPI telescope at La Silla Observatory (Chile), started\nobservations of the field of GRB 081012 (Stroh et al. 2008, GCN #8361)\nin g'r'i'z'JHK at 07:43 UT on 13. Oct. 2008, 18.5 hours after\nthe burst. This burst was also detected by the Fermi GBM (Bissaldi\n2008, GCN #8370). GROND observations consisted of 20 115-s\nintegrations in g'r'i'z' and 240 10-s integrations in JHK.\n\nWe do not detect a source in the XRT error circle (Kennea & Stroh\n2008, GCN #8364) in the stacked images down to limiting magnitudes\n(all in Vega system) of\n\ng' > 23.2\nr' > 23.5\ni' > 22.8\nz' > 22.8\nJ > 21.5\nH > 20.4\nK > 19.4\n\nThe given limits are derived based on calibrating the images\nagainst USNO and 2MASS field stars and are not corrected for the Galactic\nforeground extinction corresponding to a reddening of E_(B-V)= 0.023\nin the direction of the burst (Schlegel et al. 1998).",
