Sugizaki (NAOC) \nreport on behalf of the MAXI team:\n\nThe MAXI/GSC nova alert system triggered on an X-ray transient source at 19:43:06 UT on 2021 June 7.\nAssuming that the source flux was constant over the transit, we obtain the source position at\n(R.A., Dec) = (263.367 deg, -22.279 deg) = (17 33 28, -22 16 44) (J2000) \nwith a statistical 90% C.L. elliptical error region \nwith long and short radii of 0.56 deg and 0.53 deg, respectively. \nThe roll angle of the long axis from the north direction is 69.0 deg counterclockwise. \nThere is an additional systematic uncertainty of 0.1 deg (90% containment radius).\nThe X-ray flux averaged over the scan was 59 +- 21 mCrab\n(4.0-10.0keV, 1 sigma error).\n\nThere was no significant excess flux in the previous transit at 18:10 UT and in the next transit \nat 21:16 UT with an upper limit of 20 mCrab for each.\n\nSince the source showed a soft X-ray spectrum and no significant time variations during the scan \nand the source is located in the galactic bulge region at (l, b) ~ (4.2 deg, 5.8 deg), it is possible \nthat the source is a galactic transient source. We tentatively name the source MAXI J1733-222.",
